We went there first time today- we love the food and atmosphere. A pretty lady Ms. Jasmine served us. Thankyouu Jasmine for your soft and sweet service. The only suggestion please play Indian songs lol in between.
Literally, everything my son and I ordered was fantastic! Beautiful atmosphere and excellent staff. It's a large restaurant, so far I've never had to wait for a table or call ahead. It's one of my favorite places to eat!
This restaurant was delicious! Very flavourful and meats were juicy and tender. The spices were well balanced and not overtly spicy (as long as you order the right spice level)! The service was pleasant and helpful. They were also very accommodating with my family's almond allergy (though be warned that nuts are used as garnishing so request when ordering). Highly recommend the tandoori lamb rack and onion bhaji (fritters).
The food is was really good. I tried 3 different food an all was good. Our server was really kind as well he took time and explain the menu. I alsp asked him for extra hot , he marked it wit cooriander so it doesnt mixed with others.
India 47 is the best in town. I can’t believe I didn’t already review them! Been going here for a few years now, tried most of the curry’s from a la carte. One thing that is amazing is there Buffett 12-3 Friday and Saturdays. (Photos of Buffett) Call ahead just to make sure because they may have a big party. This is hands down the best Indian restaurant in the Windsor-Essex area! The food is absolutely delicious and always fresh. Yatin does an outstanding job handling the orders with great care and professionalism. The service is top-notch, and the entire experience is consistently excellent. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine!
So we tried The food of India 47 and the our experience over there was on top and beyond expectations. The Girl Jasmeen is so sweet and well mannered. We enjoyed their hospitality and its now bothering us to drive to Windsor from ottawa again just to eat there
India 47 catered an event at the local Hindu cultural centre here in Windsor, the food was so fragrant and fresh, it was the best Indian cuisine I have tasted. What really elevated my overall experience with this restaurant, and what I really appreciated, was the care and thoughtfulness of the staff that were serving the food. Jasmine especially, went above and beyond to ensure that everyone trying the food had an enjoyable experience. She was so kind, patient, and took the time to explain each dish and how to eat/prepare them for maximum flavour. She also came to check on us to ensure the food was to our satisfaction, which it was. Having staff that cater to the overall experience is so important - Jasmine met this expectation flawlessly. I look forward to my next trip to Windsor so that I can enjoy the experience of this restaurant again.
